Below is the upgrade and patch information for our insure/SQL customers on version 5.0.0. This includes general requirements or patches that pertain to our entire insure/SQL Suite.

Do not apply these patches unless you are at insure/SQL version 5.0.0. (see below to verify your release)

To find out if you are at version 5.0.0 of insure/SQL: (In the GUI client - click Help->About in our PC client to find out what version you have)
(The GUI will give you both the HOST and CLIENT versions of our products. If the GUI is not available, on the IBM System i™ - Enter the following command to retrieve your current version of insure/SQL: XCENTER50/DSPRLS
NOTE: If you get the message "Library XCENTER50 not found.", then you are not at version 5.0.0 of insure/SQL.
Please contact Centerfield Technology at support or 1-888-387-8119 for our latest release.

Symptoms:
- Servers that go through exit points may experience long response times due to lock conflicts. This includes TELENT, DRDA, DDM, and ODBC servers. If this problem occurs, end-users will see up to a three minute response times (e.g. when signing on to a 5250 emulation session).
- User may see high temporary storage for telnet server jobs (QTVDEVICE).
Symptoms:
At times the amount of system resources that the XCSCRUB50 job consumes is too high. The purpose of this change is to improve the performance of the code this job uses.
Symptoms:
The XCSCRUB50 job ends after the STRSVR command is issued on a new install of Version 5.0 if the system is at V5R2. The message in the joblog indicates that the QAQQDBMN file in XCENTERD50 could not be found.
Symptoms:
User may get an error CPF2407 - Message file XCMSGF in *LIBL not found. This message will not occur in any normal product operation, but only when something else fails, as this message file is primarily used to send Centerfield exceptions when some operating system or Centerfield product problem occurs.
For insure/SQL customers running V5R4 you must have installed or need to upgrade to 5.0.0 of our software due to some IBM changes to the APIs we are using in our products.

For insure/SQL customers running V5R1, V5R2, or V5R3 on the IBM System i™ we recommend you upgrade to version 5.0.0 of insure/SQL to get all the new enhancements.
